Care to know what lap band surgery is?

Published by gaychristians under Affiliates

I was looking for ways to increase my chances to lose weight this summer. I am already drinking the so-called ‘ballerina tea’ which is an herbal tea made in Hong Kong. It helps me but I am not seeing much result since I still eat the same way I used to eat before.

So, there I was – spending unnecessary time online looking for other means. Are there any good exercise routines out there to help me in my quest for a slimmer, fitter body? U came across a website that explains a simpler procedure that is painless, and very simple.
It is a type of weight Loss Surgery where the idea behind it is to create a small pouch in the upper part of your stomach that would help you control food intake. A gastric band is used to wrap around the upper part of your stomach that would enable this procedure to work. The upper part will represent your ‘new stomach’ which is smaller than your normal stomach. With constant food intake becoming less and less, the individual will begin to lose weight. It is called lap band surgery

Typically lap band surgery is reserved for the obese where concerns about health is the main issue. I don’t believe I’m at that stage yet but if I ever do, I think I would opt for lap band surgery. It is a simple procedure, there is no cutting of the stomach, no stapling, and the pouch is calibrated and may be adjusted after the individual reaches their weight loss goal. It is also fully reversible with only a brief hospital stay. It only takes between a half hour to an hour to perform this type of surgery and you are home free to start losing weight.

I didn’t know what a lapband is, but I guess now I do!

Voltei – I am back.

Published by gaychristians under Holy Week 2008

passion-of-the-christ.jpgI have been on hiatus for a while. I had to take care of my other blogs as I try to optimize earnings. I am back though and would like to thank the readers that are faithfully visiting my blog. I have also been busy with work and school as well.

This week is Holy Week and our yearly tradition continues. We have what you would call, “The 14 Stations” or “Visita Iglesia” during Holy Thursday where we visit at least 7 churches and remember the passion of Christ as we go through the 14 Stations of the Cross. We started the tradition a couple of years ago and everyone seems excited every year. This year, I was contacted by a couple of friends asking if we were going to do the church visits this year. For that, I am grateful.

I would like to reflect on the previous post on February 10th. I feel really bad that I haven’t put in enough meditation and prayer time this Lenten season and I am ashamed to admit, I haven’t been to church the past couple of weeks. I wouldn’t promise anymore as I seem to break it every time.

I plan on watching “The Passion of the Christ” on Good Friday. Please do keep me in your prayers as well. I need renewal. Renewal of faith and self.

God Bless!
