If you like taking surveys and you work for the health care industry, you might want to participate in a Health Care Excellence survey being offered by DDI (Development Dimensions International) to be able to prepare for the needs of health care workers. DDI is a human resource and consulting firm who provides jobs to professionals. They have over 1000 employees. DDI will help you systematically and creatively close the gap between today’s talent capability and the people you will need to successfully execute tomorrow’s business strategy.
DDI is looking to increase response rate to a survey (To take the survey, click here.) targeted at executives in health care. At the end of the survey, participants will be asked to provide their e-mail address and contact information. DDI will randomly select one winner from the participants who complete the survey and give away a new iPod Nano. Take the survey now and win!

I went to the Art Museum area to pass time and take pictures of the City that was once knows as Filthadelphia because of how dirty it was before. I am amazed about this city’s transformation from trash to posh!!
Just look at the pics below – - don’t you want to move to Philadelphia?! After taking pictures, I went back to church to hear mass and then had lunch with a buddy at a Vietnam Restaurant somewhere on Washington Avenue. I forgot the name of the place but the food was good.

Cops are the best. My neighbor is a COP and he’s way too awesome. His girlfriend and I get along really well and I hang out at their place all the time. He rarely wears a uniform but when he does, I told his girlfriend jokingly, “Keep him away from me!” Hahah!! We’re really good friends.
Actually at one time – I told him that I really like seeing him in his uniform around our neighborhood with his tactical belt and the works – making me feel safe. He just laughs! He’s really cool and I wish I have more neighbors like him – better yet, more people like him. He and his wife know and accept me being gay. They invite me to their parties all the time. It’s not uncommon anymore and people have become more accepting.
I wonder if he would give me his tactical belt so I can use it to accessorize?

Last Saturday, I celebrated my birthday with my buddies in Philadelphia. It was a straight bar (no offense, but I really enjoy hanging out at straight bars more than gay bars) and billiard hall. But before all that happened, I decided that I would go to church early and pay homage to my hometown’s patron saint, Sta. Rita de Cascia.
I woke up early (even though I didn’t sleep until 3:00 a.m. that morning – - long story), and headed up to Philadelphia where the National Shrine is located. The mass was supposed to be at 8:00 a.m. but I was late. I arrived there around 8:30 I think – - the mass had already ended. The bulletin said that another mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. so I decided to go to the park, take pictures of the city and then return for the 10:00 a.m. mass.
Here’s what I was able to accomplish…

No, not me. My friend visited me from Chicago two weeks ago. Well, he really didn’t visit me. His cousin passed and he was in the area for a few days. It was good to reconnect again since he moved to Chicago last year. He is out there to pursue his dreams – of being an Interior Designer. He recently graduated from the Arts Institute of Pennsylvania and he gave up everything to become the designer that he wants to be.
He asked me if I would go with him the next time he got a facial. I said I would and I wondered why he would want one. He’s always had acne problems in the past, not only on his face but on his back as well. I told him that since he lives in Chicago now, maybe he should check out places there that could help him.
Acne Chicago Dermatologists are available to him I’m sure. So, I went online and looked up a place where he could probably get some consulting done and possible therapy. We found this place that he vowed to check out when he goes back.
Lakeview dermatology is a leading dermatology clinic in the Chicago area specializing in laser acne treatment, hair removal treatment, Restylane treatment and other skin care treatments. We provide treatments to many skin conditions as well as cosmetic, medical and surgical treatments. Lakeview Dermatology is led by Dr. Eugene Mandrea and Dr. Steven Mandrea and located in Chicago, Illinois.
I told him to get his back checked out as well.

I never told my parents. Yes. I didn’t get the chance nor the courage to tell them I’m gay. It was never spoken but I knew that they knew. I was the weak one. The one who always concedes. I didn’t have a backbone.
Seeing my friends now and how accepted they are within their families for who they are makes it worthwhile for me. I love seeing them be accepted and without any pre-judgment. The world is different now and my folks would have probably accepted who I am without any hesitation had I been born a few years later.
That is why the film short entitled “Summer” touched me. It hit close to home. We have come a long way – but there are kids out there that need to know that they are loved for who they are. They still struggle. They still commit suicide. We have to change that.
Watch the short film after the JUMP

Do you remember those commercials back then. Although it has become a joke these days, I feel that if I become a parent – I must know exactly where my children are all the time. It’s a shame to feel that way because I remember growing up and I could play outside for hours without my mom worrying about where I am. The neighbors keep an eye on other children to make sure that they are safe. Maybe if you are in a neighborhood where people still care for each other’s welfare but not just any neighborhood.
Technology has caught up with this. Did you know that a gps tracking system is now available where you can monitor your children’s location? It is so advanced now that if your child ventures out into a prohibited location, you can be alerted via your cell phone or email? That’s right! It can locate anything and anyone in real time with great accuracy. It can even track indoors where some devices fail. The device is extremely small and you can put it in your child’s pocket, a jacket or a backpack or even a child’s stroller so you can be alerted exactly where your child is at any given time.
Time has definitely changed. It’s no longer a bad idea to have these devices to help the parents feel safe about their kids. I think it’s wise and if I became a parent – I would probably get one just so that I could be at ease. Is that too much?

I waited for this movie to come out… I had it on my queue for the last three months so that I could watch it and feel sappy again..
I’ll give the movie three stars.. not all that great but it did what I wanted it to do.
My ex-boyfriend and I were together for four years. We had lots of laughs, madness, craziness and the like. We loved each other. But sometimes, things happen. It wasn’t his fault. It wasn’t mine. It just wasn’t meant to be.
Somehow, after watching this movie – I felt as if he was the ONE. The ONE who got away. My pooh loved me more than he loved himself. Maybe that was my issue. He cared for me and took care of me. So, what’s the problem?
I have always thought that I am incapable of falling in love with the right person. I fall in love with the heart-breakers, the cheaters, the jerks. Why do we want people who treat us unfairly? Why is it that when you have someone who really cares for you – you let go?

I think I’m too young to go through midlife crisis but these days, where there are no more children in this world – perhaps it’s not very uncommon anymore.
Children ages 9-12 know more than adults these days. With the power of the internet and influx of information – you could say that the simplicity of being a child has been lost.
