It was a fun-filled day today. I got up a bit early, cleaned the house with my roommate and grilled pork ribs for lunch. We were planning to go for dim sum but we got done too late. The dim sum place in the city ends the special at three o’ clock and we got done cleaning at two-thirty. It figures.
Anyway, after lunch, I took a shower and took a nap for an hour and a half. Got up and went to church for the 6:00 p.m. mass. I was actually pleased because I arrived on time. (That’s a rarity for me.) The readings pointed to how we as believers should tell our loved ones (or our friends for that matter) if they are doing anything that is not pleasing to God. If we notice it and we don’t say anything, we will be held accountable for it. My mind raced in an instant recalling all the times that I should have said something to my friends or my loved ones. There were plenty of occasions where I didn’t say anything. I let it go.

One of the best cities I’ve visited so far lies in the midwestern United States. I have visited the city twice and I just can’t get enough of it. A friend of mine, John - has moved there and I actually drove his car to Chicago. However, when I got there, I was so exhausted that I really didn’t have much time to tour the place. I was able to see the “bean” but that was it. We went downtown but then again, I was such in a daze that nothing really stuck. All I know is that I would like to visit Chicago again and when I do, I will take one of those Chicago tours. It’s better to take a tour I guess rather than go around by myself. With a tour, I get to see the important places that people usually want to visit but don’t know how to get to it. The funniest thing that happened to me while I was there was a trip to the bakery (famous one as I was told because of the owner). There was a lady behind the counter who looked like a lady but as you get closer, you may wonder if she’s a lady or not. We had to stay at the bakery and had pastries and hot coffee just to figure out if the lady behind the counter is indeed a lady. We had fun. It’s like being at Madame Tussauds wax museum. Haha!
I found that that there are available online travel guides that I can use to maybe map my itinerary before I even go. The fares have come down a bit and it would be best for me to go soon before it really gets cold. I could also sign up for a Trusted Tours & Attractions newsletter and get myself updated automatically on available tours, specials and the like - I can even get the chance to win $150.00 Magellan’s Gift Certificate simply for signing up. Trusted Tours and Attractions offers discounted tickets to the best sightseeing tours in 23 cities across America. I better call for airline fares now. I need at least two weeks out.

It has never failed me. The stand that I took way back when to follow one commandment and one commandment only has saved me in so many ways that I can’t even describe. The words that Jesus spoke, “Love your God with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul; and your neighbor as yourself.” has resonated with me. It speaks loud and clear to me that in every situation, I simply ask myself if I am disobeying this commandment. If I am about to divert from it, I simply hear the small voice inside me telling me that I shouldn’t move forward.
I am so ever grateful to Brother Eddie Fitzpatrick, wherever you are. I know that it has been years since I last spoke to you but if ever by chance, you run into this blog, please know that I still think about you and the guidance and wisdom you imparted with me many many years ago.
God bless you Bro. Eddie!

How good are you with cars? I’m not so I rely mostly on information over the internet. I know that I only want cars with power steering because I have driven a car without it and it is not the same. I enjoy a car with good power steering capabilities than the next just because of the convenience that it provides me. Auto parts, such as power steering rack, power steering gear box, clutches and the like could cost us an arm and a leg if we go through the dealer. The parts used to be available only to the dealers but a website I found could provide you the spare parts that you need for less. Steering, supension, Diesel Injection and the like could easily be obtained online for a price that used to be available only to dealers. Search by Year, Model and Make of your car and you’ll see. PowerSteeringPros.com rocks. If you’re looking for spare parts and don’t really want to spend for it - - go to PowerSteeringPros.com.
