Love for all…

Published by gaychristians under Random Thoughts

As we contemplate our lives during the Lenten Season, I hop we realize that Jesus came to earth only for one thing – to show that LOVE is the way. There’s no other way.

I want to share it with you as well.. it touched me.

Lent is here again. Please Lord, use me.

Published by gaychristians under You are Blessed

Every year, I go through the Lenten Season thinking that I will do everything I possibly can to be a better person. Year after year.. I feel no change. I am wondering if it doesn’t have to do anything with emotion. I wonder if God is changing me in a way that I don’t even notice.

Ash Wednesday is coming up folks. On February 25th, we go to church to be reminded of where we came from. “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

I would like to give up smoking for Lent (and hopefully forever)… anyone up for it? I really do hope that God is changing me inside… every year…

Our company is re-thinking everything due to the economic crisis

Published by gaychristians under Random Thoughts

There’s a big revamp going on within our company now. We are moving servers, decomissioning old ones that are not used and changing software according to our needs (not wants). I guess the economic meltdown has caused our company to re-think the infrastructure and equipment we use including changing our vpn software. I haven’t had the chance to check out the new vpn yet but with the newly encouraged “work-from-home-to-save-money” plan, I should start playing with the new software. I am certain that all corporations are reviewing their I.T. needs as well since everyone cannot afford to waste money these days.

Let the children come unto me…

Published by gaychristians under Random Thoughts

It was said, “Unless you behave like these children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

I somewhat thought I knew what that meant.  In thinking about it now, I had to wonder what Jesus meant when He said that.  First, I had to think about the traits of children.

  • Loving unconditionally
  • Forgiving ( a child can be upset at you at one moment and forget about the whole thing the next moment)
  • Cheerful and Playful
  • Relies on someone bigger than they are to take care of their needs
  • Not doubtful

After thinking so, I realized – that’s what Jesus meant. I have to polish up my “child-like” traits. I don’t want to lose my chance of getting into heaven.

A better way to get noticed.

Published by gaychristians under Affiliates

I have had this blog for over a year now. Although I am seeing traffic, I want to get more and if you read around, your blog ratings include a grade on how much links refer to your site. There are what they call inbound links (or backlinks) that provide value to your blog or site’s ranking position with the various search engines out there. If I want this blog to become successful, I need to make quick plans on how I could optimize my strategy to get my rankings back up. I don’t know too many sites linking to this blog and maybe that is why I have a page rank of zero, yet it did have a PR of three at one point. I need to get this blog going to improve and obtain higher rankings that it normally receives.

I read about a service which concentrates on directory submissions. For as little as .14 cents per submission, you can pretty much submit your site or blog to search engine directories. For fourteen dollars, you can submit your site or blog to one hundred SEO-friendly directories and it would only be links that are totally relevant to your site!  In my opinion, the deal is phenomenal. The company will even make sure that the directories they are submitting to are SEO-friendly and provide you the links that are highly-valued by search engines.

That would be great for this blog. I don’t think anyone know about this blog except for me, Rich and Rebecca. :D This would be my chance to get this blog known and explode my rankings among search engines. I will have the option of sumitting to 100 directories every month for a year~!! Could you imagine that? They will even keep track of all of your submissions to avoid duplicates (which is probably frowned upon by search engines). As an additional benefit, you will have the opportunity to submit your site or blog to these directories at no additional cost, spread out over five weeks.

I will report my progress in this project each time I see a change. In this case, you will know if my experiment is working or not.

Landmark Gay Couple files for Divorce.

Published by gaychristians under Random Thoughts

The Jamaica Plain lesbians whose passionate love led to the groundbreaking legalization of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts have called it quits and filed for divorce, the Herald has learned.

But one-time international gay icons Hillary and Julie Goodridge, who share custody of their 12-year-old daughter, Annie, are less eager to be poster partners for gay divorce. Their case, filed Thursday in Suffolk Probate and Family Court, is impounded.

“I wish I could talk them into staying together, but I don’t see how. They had a great thing going. I love Julie, and I always will,” said Hillary’s mom, Ann Kiernan Smith, 82, of Florida, who believed the couple would outlast their critics.

Let the games begin! Who’s up for paintball?

Published by gaychristians under Affiliates

Remembering the time we played paintball back when I was living in Maryland makes me want to play it again. I played with co-workers then. This time, I want to play with friends. It would be so much fun to watch my friends play this game. Who can be the butchest of them all? LOL

With the technology advances, it is now easy to locate places where they offer this game. I live in New Jersey now and finding paintball online is as easy as ever as well as the gears and brand name tools. I can’t wait for the summer. Anyone for paintball?
