One good experience. I hope it continues.

While vacationing at the Islands of Boracay in the Philippines, I had an experience that I will never forget.  It is something that I will boast of because it is not a usual experience everyone goes through.

There was a time my friends and I were rushing to the beach that I left my wallet with cash and credit cards outside our room.  We were gone for about 6 hours (and when I found out I lost my wallet, I hoped I left it inside the room), and when we returned, the wallet cannot be found.

We called customer service at the Boracay Regency to find out if anyone has turned in a wallet during the time that we were gone.  We were suprised to find out that a girl named Cecille from housekeeping found the wallet and turned it in.  The wallet was returned with all the monies intact including the credit card that was in the wallet.

I would like to commend the staff of Boracay Regency.

I spoke with the residents of Boracay and they told me that they make sure that anything that they find is returned to the owner.  That is the reputation they would like to have so that tourists will continue to return to the islands.  Tourism is their main source of income in the islands and if lost, would leave a lot of people suffering.  Makes sense.  I hope it continues!
