As a Gay Christian, Should I expect fidelity as well?

Published by under Infidelity

“AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH; so they are no longer two, but one flesh.

What, therefore, God has joined together let not man separate.”

- Mark 10:8-9

For the past three weeks, I have been mulling over an issue that I cannot seem to reconcile.  It’s one of the most heart-breaking news I’ve heard in a long time.  One that would rock me to my core.  It’s about a couple who are dear friends of mine.  The news came as a shock as I have never in my wildest dream thought this would ever happen.

My friends have been together for almost 15 years.  They have built their lives together.  Both of them came out to their families at an early age and their families have accepted and loved them for who they are.  A gay couple whom we have adored for the last 13 years or so that we have known them.

Both of them kept a monogamous relationship for so long, as far as we can remember.  They met when they were in their early 20s and it has been a match made in heaven.

Of course, they’ve had moments of trials in their relationship and have gone through what anyone would normally go through as they became one in the process.

Most recently, a third party came into their lives and have flipped their world upside down.  I don’t mean to sound judgmental but I, for one didn’t see it coming. One of the couple fell for this person to the level that almost broke them apart.  I don’t know what happens behind closed doors and if they are having issues that we don’t know about but to make the long story short, the other who was not in love with this person agreed to invite him to their relationship.   They are now in a three-way relationship.

Nursing: A career that works for men as well.

Published by under Random Thoughts

I took Medical Technology while I was in college and although I wasn’t able to practice (I went to business instead), I really missed a lot of opportunities. Most of my classmates have moved on to become doctors and nurses. It’s funny how nursing was looked upon as a career for women back in the day.

Today, I have many male friends who are nurses and many others who have left their careers (computer programmers) to become a nurse. I remember my classmates back when we were required to wear men’s medical uniforms during our internship. I was proud of it and would always look forward to those days. The uniforms that they used to wear were limited to white. That’s what a nurse wore during those days. Nowadays, even scrubs have become fashionable.

My friends (who are all male) look more comfortable now in their scrubs than my college classmates. Specially now, one can find medical uniforms online almost all year round. You don’t have to go broke to buy uniforms for work. Nice and high-quality scrubs are available online and most of my buddies shop online for men’s scrub uniforms. More and more of my male friends are making nursing as their career of choice. Besides all the sign-in bonuses that they get, the starting salary is one that could afford you a comfortable lifestyle. If you’re one of the guys looking to pursue a nursing career – - don’t think twice. Male nurses will be around for a while.

An interesting read. Jesus is coming and He looks Pissed by Randy Gage

Published by under Random Thoughts

And contrary to what some of the TV evangelists would have you believe, Jesus reduced everything to the principle of love. I have to believe if he came back today, he would be shocked, saddened and angry at what is being said and done in his name.

Let’s forget about the dogma, doctrines, and differences, and celebrate the similarities. Reciprocity, compassion, good, peace, love. Those are the real season for the season! – by Randy Gage

We normally think of the second coming during advent. I know that this posting is kind of late for advent but I wanted to share something about this topic because of the recent events that have been happening around the world lately. I’m not about to scream “Doom and gloom!” and that “The world is about to end”, but I do want to emphasize what I believe will save us – ALL of us – when the time comes.
