I had a dog before. I had a Maltese named Tron. He was a toy dog of Maltese breed and he was my very first dog. However, he died in a tragic accident while I was away in Florida. I didn’t want to get attached to another dog again ever after that. It was just too painful to lose something that you love.

I traveled around the U.S. for work and even then, I didn’t want to get another pet. I felt bad leaving the dog in kennels during my trips so I decided not to get one. Until I became partnered and moved into this neighborhood where a couple owned three Shih Tzus that they walk every single day. They seem to be the most loving and not ferocious at all. We became friends with the owners and when I mentioned that if I get another dog, it will be a Shih Tzu, they decided to take me to their breeder. I fell in love instantly when I saw this tan and white Shih Tzu. I actually placed a deposit right then and there – eight weeks later, Simba came home with us.

My ex-boyfriend and I now both have Shih Tzus. They are pampered dogs and they even belog to Dogster. Now I found this new website where you can actually put your own content and pictures of your dog. It is called
GreatDogSite.com. The site owner, Paul – manages to keep up with the many many breeds when he maintains his site. I am not even sure how he does it. But I guess, user content does help. You can ask questions about your dog breed, upload pictures, answer inquiries from other dog owners and so forth.

Simba and Kovu are best friends but they don’t see each other anymore. Since my breakup with my boyfriend, Simba has been alone in the house. I try to bring him over to friends’ homes with dogs as well but I know he misses Kovu. Maybe they’ll meet each other again at
GreatDogSite.com? Who knows?

This is a sponsored post.
