What is this Blog about?

Published by gaychristians

I created this web log to connect people all over the world, gay and christians alike to open up the conversation regarding faith and sexuality. I know from my experience that it was a struggle and without the people who supported me, I wouldn’t have been able to accept who I am and probably would have remained thinking that I am doomed to eternal damnation.

I invite you to share your world, your struggles, your experiences with us.

    Hi there,

Thanks again for your site. I will be checking back often and reading everything you have here. I came across this blog just by chance; feeling sad for myself and depressed about Life in general. I am beginning to see the light and truth in my life and hope I have the courage to carry forth.

I am a Christian lesbian and have written my autobiography “Is God A Gay Basher?” as an ebook. Fundamental in my youth I was quite upset when I realized I was gay. That was in 1973; I was 27. There were no books to help; no church that did not condemn homosexuals. I could only turn to the Word of God, pray for His wisdom and by His Grace found peace with my homosexuality and God. Jesus said “I will never leave or forsake you” and He kept His promise. Every gay person has a story to tell; worthy of listening to. Visit my blog at adamross616.wordpress.com to read the book’s jacket and learn a bit more about me. My story has helped those who have read it and I pray it will help more. Cost $10

I am 63 years young, a Christian and a lesbian. Back when I was growing up nothing was written to help and there certainly was no clergy who did not preach Hell & damnation to gays. I knew I was different from other girls by the time I was 4 years old and for the next 23 years suffered torment wondering what was wrong with me. At the age of 27 I realized I was gay. I felt free of all the torment, BUT now I had to deal with the reality that I was going to Hell if I acted on my feelings of love toward my own gender. In 1973 I had only one person to depend on – God. It took about a year, but somehow I knew that my love was not wrong; it was natural and that God would not condemn me. I “married” a Christian gay woman and knew that our union was blessed by God. As the years passed by my knowledge of the Bible and the “clobber” passages were revealed to me in a positive way. I share my life story will all in my autobiography, “Is God A Gay Basher?” I take the reader thru my struggle and subsequent peace. The last chapter is an in depth study of the “clobber” passages and the Creation story so many use to condemn homosexuality and I show how they have all been misinterpreted and mistranslated, using context and reason. Whoever is struggling needs to read my ebook. Visit my blog at http://www.adamross616.wordpress.com to read the book jacket and a bit more about me. Cost is $10, but worth every penny. May God lead you to peace and He has led me.

I just like the approach you took with this topic. It isn’t often that you just find something so to the point and enlightening.
